Although I’m not an accountant, I genuinely look forward to tracking my numbers every month. Is that weird? Probably, but it’s one of the most satisfying habits I’ve started this year. Here’s a transparent look at my July 2025 investment progress!
This month, I created some new charts which allows me to visualize progress easier. Check them out at the bottom of this post!
Superfund – Hostplus
Balance: $217,221 (up $7,567)
Portfolio Change: Rebalanced to 60% International Indexed and 40% High Growth Indexed as the hedged indexed option is getting phased out by Hostplus in September. So sad! Anyways, I am going to leave the platform soon to start a SMSF. More details to come soon, it’s a big step and needs proper unpacking.
Options Trading – Moomoo
Balance: $7,663 (up $1,491)
Comment: It actually reached over $10,000 at one point, but pulled back after a few poor earnings trades. A good reminder that earnings season is always a gamble for options traders especially that IV crush!
Fundlater
Balance: $11,067 (up $356)
Debt: $3,600 | Monthly repayment: $325
I may look to close this one down soon as interest rate gets cut, their repayment includes an interest component and isn’t getting decreased as rates drop.
NAB Equity Builder
Balance: $175,845 (up $6,556)
Debt: $103,000 | Equity: ~$72,800| Monthly repayment: ~$1500 (around $600 is interest and rest goes to equity)
Wifey Portfolio – Betashares Direct
Balance: $59,710 (up $1,833)
Comment: We continue our regular DCA of $1,000 every fortnight aligned with payday. July was a solid dividend month (nearly $2,900!) and we reinvested everything including dividends from NAB EB to keep growing the portfolio.
Wifey Portfolio – Stake
Balance: $30,624 (up $478)
Comment: We added MA1 this month, which I wrote about in an earlier article. It also pays some juicy monthly dividends which helps with overall cash flow.
Total Portfolio Summary
Gross Funds: $502,130
Net Equity: $395,498
This Month’s Growth: +$18,281
Super exciting month of nice gain and my total market exposure has crossed the $500k mark. Honestly not sure how I will feel in the next market dip with this portfolio size, but we’ll find out soon enough. How did your portfolio go this month?
